Khyzaha Jones, LCMHCA
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

Khyzaha Jones describes his journey into counseling not as a career move, but as a calling. After earning a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy at East Carolina University in 2021, he continued at ECU and completed his Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling in May 2024. He now holds licensure as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC). Additionally, he is specially trained in military and civilian trauma, equipping him with the skills to guide individuals through complex emotional and life challenges.

Working in Raleigh, Khyzaha serves a broad and diverse range of clients, teens, adults, couples and individuals with disabilities. His clients often arrive seeking help with grief, anxiety, depression, trauma recovery, life transitions, and substance use concerns. For him, the therapeutic process begins with building what he calls a foundation of safety and trust, so clients feel heard, valued, and empowered from the first session.
True to his client-centered approach, Khyzaha views therapy as a collaboration. “You bring your story; I bring the tools,” he says. Together, they craft a path forward using evidence-based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and behavioral techniques, tailored to each person’s unique strengths and challenges.
Khyzaha’s commitment to rehabilitation counseling is grounded in the profession’s broader mission—helping people with disabilities live independently and advocating for social inclusion through empathy and informed guidance. He blends this ethos with a trauma-informed lens, making his practice particularly suited to those navigating transitions after service or personal crisis.
Beyond his scholarship and clinical credentials, Khyzaha is a warm and genuine person. A native North Carolinian now living in Raleigh, he loves exploring new places and sampling cuisines, and he has a thrill-seeking side that comes alive on roller coasters. He shares his home with two beloved dogs—a stately Cane Corso and a playful Boxer mix—who are his daily reminders of loyalty, joy, and the simpler joys of life.
Whether you’re facing loss, feeling stuck in anxiety or depression, or navigating a difficult life change, Khyzaha is dedicated to creating a supportive space where you can rewrite your narrative. With a collaborative and compassionate approach informed by strong clinical foundations, he’s here to help you move from feeling overwhelmed toward clarity, purpose, and growth.
