Joy Stanfield, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Joy Stanfield is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who brings compassion, creativity, and authenticity to her work with adults 18 and older. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She specializes in supporting individuals struggling with self-esteem and body image issues, anxiety, depression, grief, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and spiritual concerns.

Joy believes that every person is unique and already holds strengths that can be drawn on for healing and growth. She meets clients with warmth and openness, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can truly be themselves. Her approach is eclectic and flexible, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Superhero Therapy, and elements of expressive arts and narrative therapy.

Whether helping someone through a difficult life transition or exploring the deeper work of identity and self-worth, Joy is passionate about walking alongside her clients with encouragement and empathy.
