Susan graduated with her Associates of Applied Science from Howard County Community College in 2010. She then went on to get her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011. As a registered nurse, she has over a decade of bedside nursing in the fields of Emergency medicine, Interventional Radiology, Recovery, Psychiatry, and Medical-Surgical nursing.
Susan has a passion for teaching. She has been precepting nurses since 2011. After earning her Master of Nursing Education from Texas Tech University in 2014, she became a full-time nursing professor. She graduated from Maryville University in 2020 with her Post-Masters’ certificate to be a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
