Bryon Lawrence, LCMHC

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

BRYON LAWRENCE

Bryon Lawrence is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) for the state of North Carolina. His clinical experience includes treating the following areas: ADHD, depression, panic attacks, generalized anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief, defiance, as well as marital stress. He works with  adults and couples.

He enjoys serving others as a therapist because he is naturally inquisitive and likes to interact with people. Bryon appreciates that there are times when a person wants to be heard and receive support in searching for a path forward, and other times a person may need to release frustrations and vent. In working with clients, he makes space for both experiences. He enjoys meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. And because no two people are alike, he really values having different people to work with day to day.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University with a double major in Psychology and Communications. While being a stay-at-home dad, he earned a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2011. As an eclectic therapist, Bryon believes that utilizing different therapeutic modalities is beneficial and should be applied based on therapeutic needs. He specializes in multisystemic therapy (MST), mindfulness therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).

In his free time, he likes to play games (board, phone, and video), watch TV, and play around with his family. A fun fact about him is that he was security for Super Bowl 36- Ram versus Patriots- and the coaches are the reason that he is a Rams fan to this day.

Bryon accepts
the following insurances...

BCBS (except Blue Home, Blue Local, and Blue Value), Tricare, Cigna, Aetna, United Health Care, and Medcost
