Sallie Ratcliffe is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. She graduated from East Carolina University with a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation and Career Counseling in May 2022. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University (2018). Sallie has experience working with preschool children, adolescents, and young adults around a variety of concerns including mood disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, substance abuse, stress, anxiety, and depression.

It has been demonstrated that the therapeutic relationship is the number one predictor of counseling outcomes. Sallie’s goal is to establish a comfortable space to work towards goals, offer clients techniques and skills to create harmony and peace in their lives, and work together to challenge beliefs, patterns, and thoughts.

She utilizes an eclectic counseling approach, relying heavily on a person-centered approach, cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, mindfulness, strength-based approach, and behavioral counseling approaches. These well-established and researched therapies can be blended in unique ways to meet the needs of each individual client. The client is the most important person in the session, so your feedback and honesty are important!

Sallie enjoys spending time at the lake with her family where they water ski, go for boat rides, and watch the sunset on the dock. Spending time here with her nieces and nephew is one of Sallie’s greatest joys! She loves taking her dog, Lady, out to friend’s farms in Eastern NC to run and get her energy out. She enjoys being outside, but also binge watches all crime series (recommendations appreciated!). Sallie is a big fan of all things sports and loves attending games whenever possible.
